Notification of Attendance to Date:
None at this time While Unalaska City School would be proud to host the 2010 Western Alaska Cheerleading Competition in conjunction with the 2010 Western Alaska Conference Basketball Tournament, we feel strongly that this competition stay unified and not split between select teams choosing the Conference Cheerleading Competition and others choosing to participate directly in the State Cheerleading Competition. As the potential host of this event, it is imperative that notification is made as to your participation no later than January 15, 2010. Please contact me directly at 907-581-1222 with any questions in this matter.

Air Transportation:

Transportation to and from Unalaska / Dutch Harbor is by airplane. The Dutch Harbor airport is served by an Alaska Air / Pen Air partnership.    This partnership includes four daily flights between the Anchorage and Dutch Harbor airports. Further information may be accessed through Alaska Air Group Desk (1-800-503-0101) or through Pen Air (907-581-1383). Other options for flights in and out of Dutch Harbor are by Air Charter Services. Such companies as Bering Air (800-478-5422), Frontier Airways (800-337-3131), Era Aviation (800-866-8394), and Hageland Aviation (907-245-0119) may be capable of serving your needs. If you should require any further assistance with flight information, please contact me at (907-581-1222) or by email at gcole@ucsd.net.

Local Transportation:
Unalaska is abundant with local transportation options! There are numerous regulated cab companies in which one can choose for travel around Dutch Harbor / Unalaska. In addition there are two vehicle rental agencies located at the Dutch Harbor airport, B.C. Vehicle Rental (907-581-6777), and North Port Rentals (907-581-3880). Fifteen Passenger Van rental prices have been reduced to $80.00 – $90.00 per day specifically for visiting schools during this tournament. Being that there are significant distances (2-3 miles) between the school and the majority of shopping/eating establishments, it is recommended that teams consider renting a vehicle during their stay. If necessary, Unalaska City School has a Suburban available for limited travel.
